A national celebration of pro bono is held the last week of October each year and in honor of the event The Florida Bar is hosting an internal book club this month to discuss pro bono based on the book, “Unbillable Hours: A True Story,” by Ian Graham.

Led by Bar General Counsel Gypsy Bailey, the book club has been discussing all things pro bono from the pressures associated with providing free legal services to the satisfaction pro bono work can bring.

“There is a great pro bono page on the Bar’s website that talks about the history of pro bono and the statistics on what Florida attorneys provide,” Bailey said, noting, too, that the Florida Free Legal Answers program is a great way for Florida lawyers to become involved in pro bono work.
