Justice Charles Canady drew on poet Robert Frost to frame a personal farewell December 12, delivering emotional remarks from the Florida Supreme Court bench at the close of his final day of oral arguments.

Noting that Frost wrote of uniting “my avocation and my vocation / As my two eyes make one in sight,” Canady said the lines “sum up” his career.
