Board to consider plan to take Bar election totally electronic
The Board of Governors is poised to consider proposed bylaw amendments that would facilitate a transition to all-electronic voting in Florida Bar elections.
At a September 30 meeting on Amelia Island, the board will be asked to consider — on first reading only — proposed amendments to Bylaw 2-3.6 (Election), and Bylaw 2-4.6 (Election of President-Elect).
Some of the proposed revisions would shorten the time frame for the annual March election from three weeks to two as an interim step, according to Bar staff.
