The Board of Governors has endorsed a proposal to allow a Southwest Florida legal clinic to recruit legal interns.

The board voted unanimously at a January 29 meeting to approve a proposal by the Sarasota County Bar Association to set a new indigency standard for Cenacle Legal Services, Inc.

The Program Evaluation Committee voted unanimously January 28 to recommend the proposal, which was also endorsed by the Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services. The Supreme Court will have the final say.
