Navigation Board discusses sustainability plan, the budgets, and cybersecurity guidelines

The Board of Governors on Friday debated a proposed spending plan for FY 2025-26, and heard President-elect Rosalyn Sia Baker-Barnes describe a proposal for a “sustainability” initiative to stem the flow of lawyers leaving the profession.
Meeting in Tampa, the board also discussed ending its formal affiliation with the ABA and approved voluntary guidelines for “incident response plans” that sponsors hope will enhance cybersecurity among Florida Bar members.
