A Southwest Florida lawmaker is renewing her effort to repeal a state mandate that directs half of all punitive damages awarded in nursing home litigation into a state trust fund.
Rep. Amber Mariano, R-Hudson, filed HB 6035 on September 23. The measure has yet to receive committee references. There is no Senate companion.
