Navigation Bill would expand Statewide Guardian Ad Litem Office efforts

A House panel has agreed to expand the mission of the Statewide Guardian Ad Litem Office, despite critics who warn it would deny vulnerable children access to lawyers.
The House Health & Human Services Committee voted 17-1 on April 17 to approve HB 875 by Rep. Dana Trabulsy, R-Ft. Pierce. The bill now goes to the House floor.
