Florida’s Statewide Prosecutor would have more power to investigate election crimes under a measure that passed a Senate panel on Tuesday.
The Fiscal Policy Committee voted 14-6 to approve SB 4B by Sen. Jonathan Martin, R-Ft. Myers. The House Judiciary Committee is schedule to debate the companion, HB 3B, by Rep. Juan Fernandez-Barquin, R-Miami, Wednesday.
