Starting May 1, The Florida Bar will begin sending all lawyer advertisement opinions electronically, marking a shift toward a paperless system.

Under the new policy, lawyers will receive their advertisement opinions via email, eliminating the traditional paper copies that have been sent in the past.

The change will affect all advertisements filed under Rule 4-7.19, and these emails will be sent directly to the responsible lawyer’s Bar profile email address. This update is designed to streamline communication and reduce reliance on paper, aligning with modern digital practices, according to Bar Ethics Counsel Jonathan Grabb.
