A little more than seven years after The Florida Bar launched its social media outreach as a way to connect and engage with its 100,000-plus member attorneys, this digital communications tool is now reaching major milestones with thousands of followers who are seeing and participating in everything happening in the legal profession today.

The Florida Bar’s Facebook page (facebook.com/TheFloridaBar) recently eclipsed 30,000 followers and now boasts the second-most Facebook followers of any mandatory or voluntary state bar in the country. (The State Bar of Texas, with a little over 32,000 followers, is No. 1).

The Florida Bar’s Twitter account (twitter.com/TheFlaBar), meanwhile, sits on the cusp of a milestone as well and is now less than 150 followers away from 20,000 — second only, again, to Texas, which just recently crossed the 20,000-follower threshold itself.
