Several Bar sections have joined other legal organizations in raising money necessary to shoot videos to kick off The Florida Bar Foundation’s upcoming One Promise pro bono campaign.

The Business Law, Trial Lawyers, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Workers’ Compensation, and Labor and Employment Law sections all made contributions to the program. They were joined by the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, the U.S. Middle District Court, the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers, as well as the Foundation.

The Foundation and the U.S. Middle District each contributed $10,000, the remaining groups gave between $500 and $2,500 each. The campaign is aimed at lawyers and promotes the value of taking one pro bono case. The funds will pay for producing four recruitment videos and a brochure. One Promise is based on the earlier One campaign that began in 2009, ran for several years, and is credited for persuading lawyers to take thousands of additional pro bono cases. The One Promise campaign is expected to kick off this summer.
