Philip Augustine of Lake Mary has become chair of the Board of Legal Specialization & Education, which oversees the work of all the Bar’s certification committees.

“Service to the Bar has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have participated in throughout my years of practice,” said Augustine, who is board certified in workers’ compensation and practices with Bolton, Helm & Augustine. “When I was admitted to the Bar in 1997, I was not aware of the amazing board certification program that we have in Florida or the benefits that flow from being a board certified attorney. As such, one of the BLSE goals this year is to develop an outreach program designed at targeting new practitioners and making them aware of the benefits of board certification. After a year of Zoom meetings and conference calls, we also look forward to continuing our efforts in person to promote board certification to all attorneys in the State of Florida by speaking at Bar events and other Bar-related activities.
