At 95, Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith is committed to community service
Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith marked its 95th anniversary in March and was recognized with proclamations from Palm Beach County Commission and the West Palm Beach City Commission for its commitment to community service over the years. “I would say, being involved our community is a key value of our firm, it’s an important part of the job,” said managing partner Lesser.
Joe Lesser opened a tiny law office on Clematis Street in sleepy West Palm Beach the same year Charles Lindbergh made his famous non-stop flight across the Atlantic.
Lindbergh wanted to prove the power of aviation — and he needed the prize money. Joe Lesser wanted to earn a decent living, but he was mostly motivated by community service, says grandson Gary.
