Anderson petitions for Bar reinstatement
Pursuant to Rule 3-7.10, Elizabeth Jayne Anderson has petitioned the Supreme Court for Bar reinstatement.
Pursuant to a March 7, 2022, order in Case Number SC18-1646, Anderson was suspended from the practice of law for three years retroactive to November 7, 2019, for failing to maintain her seven law office trust accounts in compliance with the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, resulting in shortages in excess of $120,000. Anderson’s inadequate record-keeping practices and poor supervision of her staff created a situation whereby trust funds were deposited to wrong accounts, and she misused client trust funds. Additionally, in Case Number SC19-1340, Anderson was suspended for 91 days to run consecutive to the three-year suspension for failing to tell a client of her emergency suspension, which precluded her from providing the client with any further legal services.
Any persons having knowledge bearing upon Anderson’s fitness or qualifications to resume the practice of law should contact Carrie Constance Lee, Bar Counsel, The Florida Bar, Orlando Branch Office, 1000 Legion Place, Suite 1625, Orlando 32801-1050, (407) 425-5424, clee@floridabar.org.
