The Florida Bar’s Senior Lawyers Committee will present “Never Too Late: Wills, Trusts, and the Art of Wealth Transfer for the Young at Heart” at the Bar’s Virtual Winter Meeting January 15 from 10 a.m. to noon via Zoom.

The seminar is free, but space is limited.

Presented by Marve Ann Alaimo of Porter Wright and Kishásha B. Sharp of K.B. Sharp, P.A., the presentation will include both common and unique methods for ensuring disposition of assets upon one’s passing. Basic foundational documents such as wills and revocable trusts, as well as more sophisticated structures such as irrevocable trusts and family business entities will be reviewed. Alternate means of wealth transfer, such as joint tenancies, life estates, Totten trust accounts, pay-on-death or transfer-on-death accounts and beneficiary designations, and the pros and cons of these arrangements will also be discussed.
