Today, the president of the San Francisco Bar Association says she regrets lacking the confidence at 22 to call out her professor’s Asian stereotyping.
“It tends to get swept under the rug as an isolated incident, but when you look at the big picture, it has a cumulative effect,” she said. “There is an overall systemic problem that we need to continue to address every single day.”
