In the 20th Judicial Circuit, State Attorney Amira Fox and Public Defender Kathy Smith, both Republicans, will retain their offices after qualifying ended April 29 and no challengers emerged.

In the Sixth Judicial Circuit, the only other race this election cycle, State Attorney Bruce Bartlett, a Republican, faces challenger Allison Miller, a Democrat, in the August 23 primary.

Beginning in 1979, Bartlett served variously as assistant state attorney, division chief, and chief assistant state attorney, until Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed him in January 21, 2021, to replace Bernie McCabe, who died the same month.
