Roland Sanchez-Medina: “The Florida Bar’s advocacy role in Tallahassee is very, very limited by both case law and Supreme Court rulings. The only legislative issues we advocate for here are to support appropriations requested by the Supreme Court to ensure there’s a well-funded judicial branch.”

Interference with the administration of justice, neglect, and trust accounting issues were the top three complaints against lawyers in 2024, the latest Florida Bar statistics show.

“Those vary from year to year, but communication is always in the top 10, trust accounting is usually in the top 10, as is interference with the administration of justice,” said Lawyer Regulation Division Director Elizabeth Tarbert.
