Battle of the Legal Bands returns to raise funds for Dade Legal Aid
Battle of the Legal Bands is back — and it’s not just about bragging rights. On Saturday, October 18, five bands made up of lawyers and judges will take the stage at Bougainvillea’s Old Tavern in South Miami to rock out for a cause: raising money for Dade Legal Aid, Miami-Dade County’s oldest civil legal services provider.
The evening will feature live performances by fan favorites Chillable Hours, LLP, The 540s, The Seacocks, and The Urge, with judging by Judge Fleur Lobree of the Third District Court of Appeal and Judges Javier Enriquez and Richard Hersch of the 11th Circuit.
Founded in 1949, Dade Legal Aid provides free legal representation to low-income residents facing family crises, domestic violence, evictions, guardianship issues, and other civil legal challenges. With demand for services surging due to ongoing economic hardship, this event helps fund life-changing legal help for vulnerable groups, including survivors of abuse, children in need, veterans, and people with disabilities.
