A hurricane threat that canceled last year’s Florida Conference of Circuit Judges Annual Business and Education Conference may have been a blessing in disguise — giving presenters time to incorporate sweeping legislative changes into a plenary session on vexatious litigation at this year’s annual gathering.
Senior Judge Claudia Rickert Isom, retired Judge Alice Blackwell, Judge Peter Estrada of the 10th Judicial Circuit, and Judge Bill Burgess of the Sixth Judicial Circuit co-presented, “The Court Playbook on Vexatious Litigation,” to over 500 state court judges, including Supreme Court Justice Jorge Labarga, during the event’s August 4 plenary session.
