14th Circuit and Bay County have judicial openings
The 14th Judicial Circuit’s Judicial Nominating Commission, pursuant to a request from Gov. Ron DeSantis, and through Chair Waylon Graham, announces the process concerning the taking and reviewing of applications from members of The Florida Bar who are interested in applying for the new Bay County Court judgeship and Circuit Court judgeship positions created by the Florida Legislature.
All those interested in applying for one, or both, positions should complete the appropriate application that may be downloaded from Gov. Ron DeSantis’ website. Then, the applicant should provide the original, along with eight copies, including eight USB jump drives, containing a complete copy of the application, to the Law Office of Waylon Graham, located at 537 Harmon Avenue, Panama City 32401. The applicant should also attach to their application packet a letter to the chair indicating if they are applying for both positions available, or just one of them. If one, indicate which one.
The deadline for turning in these applications is 4 p.m., C.D.T., on Friday, August 1. Any applications received after this date and time, regardless of the excuse, will be rejected and will not be reviewed by the commission.
