A man is taking legal action against multiple entities after a slip-and-fall incident on a poorly maintained sidewalk left him with significant injuries. Robert Lucia filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on April 25, 2025, naming Palm Beach County and several property management companies as defendants.

The lawsuit stems from an incident that occurred on July 5, 2023, when Robert Lucia was walking his dog along Palmwood Road in front of the Harbor Place Community. According to the complaint, Lucia slipped and fell due to a wet and grimy sidewalk that had been neglected for an extended period. The plaintiff alleges that this negligence resulted in substantial and permanent injuries requiring ongoing medical care. The defendants named in the case include Palm Beach County, Harbor Place Property Owner’s Association Inc., Hose Pros Pressure Washing LLC, Ground F/X Environmental Services Inc., and Hille Holdings LLC.

Lucia’s lawsuit accuses each defendant of failing to maintain the sidewalk safely or warn pedestrians of its hazardous condition. Specifically, he claims that they did not adequately inspect or repair the sidewalk to prevent such accidents. The complaint states: “Defendant COUNTY negligently and carelessly breached this duty by failing to adequately and safely maintain the sidewalk at the property.” Similar allegations are made against each defendant, asserting their responsibility for ensuring public safety.
