Global law firm Reed Smith welcomed Karl O. Riley as counsel in the firm’s Miami office. Riley joins the firm from Cozen O’Connor, where he previously served as that firm’s Las Vegas office managing partner.

“Karl has over a decade of experience working in the private and public sector,” said Francisco Rodriguez, a partner in Reed Smith’s Global Commercial Disputes Group and the managing partner of its Miami office. “He has extensive experience as a commercial litigator and was a natural fit for our group, particularly for clients in the financial services and life sciences industries.”

Karl’s practice is focused on litigating breach of contract fraud, fraudulent transfer, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, construction, wrongful disclosure, federal and state consumer protection, adverse proceedings, federal and state False Claims Act, deficiency judgments, receiverships, insurance coverage, judgment recovery and various employment and wage/hour issues.
