Celeste Jones has filed a lawsuit against multiple Florida-based companies, alleging negligence that led to her severe injuries. The complaint was lodged on February 19, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The defendants named in the case are WEG Paramount, LLC; Woerner Management, Inc.; Woerner Holdings, L.P.; and Dilo Fire Sprinkler Installations, Inc.

The incident at the heart of this legal battle occurred on July 7, 2023. Celeste Jones was an occupant at a property located at 139 North County Road #11 in Palm Beach when she encountered a dangerous situation involving a fire sprinkler system. According to the complaint, Jones noticed blue painter’s tape on a fire sprinkler head and attempted to remove it using a ladder. Tragically, as she removed the tape, the sprinkler exploded in her face, causing her to fall from a ten-foot ladder onto the concrete floor below. This accident resulted in significant injuries including bodily harm, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and permanent scarring.

Jones alleges that each defendant had responsibilities regarding the maintenance and safety of the premises and its fire sprinkler systems. She claims that WEG Paramount LLC; Woerner Management Inc.; Woerner Holdings L.P.; and Dilo Fire Sprinkler Installations Inc., failed to ensure that their premises were safe for invitees like herself. The lawsuit accuses these entities of vicarious negligence for not repairing defective sprinklers or warning about potential hazards. Furthermore, Jones highlights several alleged failures by these companies: improper maintenance of fire sprinklers; failure to inspect for dangers; negligent design or installation of sprinkler systems; violations of national and local fire safety codes; and inadequate employee training.
