Join the Florida Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service
The Florida Bar is calling for more attorneys to join its Lawyer Referral Service (LRS), which connects members of the public with qualified lawyers. With a particular focus on the smaller metro and rural areas where legal representation is harder to find, the LRS is seeking to expand its network to meet the rising demand.
The Florida Bar’s LRS provides referrals in 52 of Florida’s 67 counties, areas not served by a local bar association referral service. This statewide service helps ensure that individuals across the state have access to legal assistance. Lawyers must be physically located in a county within the coverage area of The Florida Bar’s LRS.
In addition to promoting the Bar’s mission of providing public access to justice, the LRS provides added value to members by leveraging the Bar’s trusted reputation to “encourage potential clients to look to the Bar first when they need assistance finding a lawyer qualified to meet their needs,” according to the LRS website.
