Plaintiff alleges major credit reporting agencies’ misconduct impacting professional life
Ishanna Marguerite Ible has filed a lawsuit alleging significant misconduct by several major entities, including the United States Department of Education and credit reporting agencies. The complaint was filed on January 27, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. Ible is seeking justice against the Department of Education’s Default Resolution Group, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
In her detailed complaint, Ishanna M. Ible accuses these defendants of engaging in a pattern of illegal conduct that has severely impacted her personal and professional life. According to Ible, this misconduct includes racketeering activities aimed at depriving her of opportunities and undermining previous settlements she had reached. She claims that these actions have resulted in unjust enrichment for the defendants while obstructing legal doctrines such as Res Ipsa Loquitur.
The roots of this case trace back to a settlement with the University of North Florida around May 2013. Ible contends that all accounts were closed or settled at that time. Further complicating matters is her Borrower Defense Application related to Sweet v. Cardona from 2023, which she believes was not properly addressed by the defendants. The plaintiff argues that these organizations failed in their due diligence and due process obligations, damaging her reputation and creditworthiness—a responsibility they are bound to uphold under laws like the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
