Homeowner Alleges Negligence Against Construction Company After Job Site Injury
Nicholas J. Kugler has filed a lawsuit against a construction company, alleging negligence after sustaining serious injuries at a job site. The complaint was filed in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, on January 3, 2025, naming J&J Exteriors Holding, Inc. as the defendant.
According to the complaint, Kugler had hired J&J Exteriors to construct a home on his property located at 1715 Grand Central Drive in Tarpon Springs, Florida. On January 27, 2023, while visiting the job site to check on the progress of the construction work, Kugler tripped over construction materials that were left hidden in the sand and unattended by J&J Exteriors. This caused him to fall onto an unattended trailer at the site, resulting in serious injuries.
Kugler’s lawsuit accuses J&J Exteriors of failing to maintain a safe environment at the job site and neglecting their duty to warn visitors about potential hazards. The plaintiff asserts that there were no caution or warning signs placed around the construction materials that were carelessly left strewn about. Kugler claims that these conditions created a dangerous environment for invitees like himself and alleges that J&J Exteriors breached their duty of care by not ensuring a reasonably safe condition at the premises.
