Ft. Lauderdale lawyer Salome Zikakis won a flight aboard an L-39, a high-performance jet trainer, over the skies of Pompano Beach. ‘It was one of those things that I didn’t know was a bucket list item, but oh my God, it was epic,’ said Zikakis, who is battling multiple sclerosis.

Ringing out the old year with a subsonic rumble, Salome Zikakis took to the skies over Pompano Beach on December 30, 2024, in an L-39 fighter jet, pulling four Gs (four times the force of gravity) while enjoying barrel rolls, inverted loops, and other acrobatic maneuvers.

“It did not bother me at all,” said Zikakis of Parady & Zikakis in Ft. Lauderdale and co-chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section’s Legislative Update Committee.
