Skyblue Jet Aviation LLC has taken legal action against a former contractor and his company, alleging multiple breaches of duty and misconduct. The complaint was filed by Skyblue Jet Aviation LLC in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on December 3, 2024, against Eric Arens and 1908, LLC.

Skyblue Jet Aviation LLC, a company providing flight training and aircraft management services, accuses Eric Arens, a licensed commercial pilot who had been working as an independent contractor for them, of several serious allegations. According to the lawsuit, Arens sold Skyblue a flight simulator for $45,000 but later attempted to repossess it without justification. Additionally, in November 2024, he allegedly sabotaged the simulator by removing key components essential for its operation. Skyblue claims that this act was calculated to damage their business operations significantly.

The complaint further alleges that Arens suffered health complications affecting his ability to fly safely but misrepresented his medical fitness to both Skyblue and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This misrepresentation allegedly led to an incident on July 18, 2024, where Arens caused extensive damage to an aircraft leased by Skyblue by landing it on a public road instead of a runway. This incident not only damaged property but also harmed Skyblue’s reputation within the aviation industry.
