Moody, other AGs send warnings to robocall companies
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is part of a bipartisan task force warning four voice service providers that have been transmitting suspected illegal robocall traffic on their networks on behalf of one or more customers.
“As part of our Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force, we have been investigating several voice service providers and have concerns about companies that are allowing millions of scam robocalls to ring through to Americans’ phones,” Moody said. “We’re putting these companies on notice that their actions may violate state and federal consumer protection and telemarketing laws.”
West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey also is part of the effort.
