A vehicular collision has sparked a legal battle in Palm Beach County, Florida, as a local resident seeks justice and compensation for injuries sustained. On October 8, 2024, Kardenia Abdullah filed a complaint against Jevante Givens in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, alleging negligence on the part of Givens that led to a significant car accident.

The incident in question occurred on May 4, 2024. According to the complaint, Abdullah was driving southbound and had stopped at a red light before making a left turn onto SW 18th Street when her vehicle was struck by Givens’. The plaintiff asserts that Givens failed to maintain a safe speed and did not yield the right of way, which directly resulted in the collision. The lawsuit claims that this breach of duty caused Abdullah severe bodily injury along with enduring pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life. Additionally, she has incurred medical expenses and suffered losses related to her earnings and earning capacity.

Abdullah’s legal representation is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 from Givens. The plaintiff argues that the injuries and losses are either permanent or will continue into the future. As such, she is demanding judgment for damages along with costs and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. Furthermore, Abdullah has requested a jury trial to resolve these allegations.
