Navigation Legislature sets interim committee weeks
Florida lawmakers return to Tallahassee before Thanksgiving to prepare for the 2025 Legislative Session.
The House and Senate have scheduled organizational sessions November 19. The single-day sessions are mostly ceremonial and called to elect leaders and approve House and Senate rules.
Republican Ben Albritton, a Wauchula rancher, is expected to be the next Senate president. Republican Daniel Perez, a Miami attorney, is next in line to be House speaker. The presiding officers serve two-year terms.
