Florida court clerks on track for new ‘Hope Card’ rollout
Despite ongoing budget challenges, Florida’s court clerks are on track to meet a legislative deadline to launch a new “Hope Card” program for domestic violence and other victims.
The Florida Court Clerk & Comptrollers began working on the program after Gov. Ron DeSantis signed SB 86 on April 26.
“Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers formed a Hope Card workgroup to guide the project’s implementation,” said Patrick Manderfield, FCCC marketing and communications director. “Most of the meetings have already taken place, and the program is on schedule to meet the October 1 implementation date.”
