West Palm Beach Resident Sues Two Construction Companies Over Negligence Leading to Severe Injuries
A West Palm Beach resident has filed a lawsuit against two construction companies, alleging negligence that led to severe injuries. Antonio Gonzalez lodged the complaint in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on July 30, 2024, targeting Biscayne Painting Corp. and Perfect Power Construction Services Inc.
According to the court documents, Gonzalez claims that on July 10, 2021, he tripped over improperly placed sandbags at his residence located at 9877 Baywinds Blvd, West Palm Beach. The incident allegedly resulted in permanent injuries. Gonzalez argues that both Biscayne Painting Corp. and Perfect Power Construction Services Inc., which were conducting business at his residence during that time, failed to maintain a safe environment and neglected to provide adequate warnings about hazardous conditions.
The complaint outlines several accusations against Biscayne Painting Corp., including failure to warn of dangerous conditions, inadequate maintenance of premises, improper supervision of maintenance personnel, and failure to inspect for hazardous conditions. “Defendant breached its duty of care owed to Plaintiff by failing to provide a safe environment,” states the complaint. As a result of these alleged failures, Gonzalez claims he suffered bodily injury, mental anguish, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life, medical expenses, and loss of earnings.
