A tragic case of alleged medical negligence has been brought to light in Palm Beach County, Florida. On July 26, 2024, Coton Stine filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit against Bhanmatie Singh, D.O., Milfrane Miot-Aristide, ARNP, and Hospitalist Group of the Palm Beaches, P.A., alleging wrongful death.

The plaintiff, Coton Stine, is acting as the Personal Representative of the Estate of Chod William Stine, who passed away on August 26, 2022. The complaint details that Chod William Stine was admitted to Bethesda Health West Emergency Department with severe medical conditions including hypertension and peripheral vascular disease. Despite being under the care of Dr. Singh and Nurse Practitioner Miot-Aristide, his condition deteriorated post-surgery due to alleged neglect. According to the filing, “Mr. Stine slowly bled out from the original operation due to lack of response by Defendants.”

Coton Stine accuses Dr. Singh and Nurse Practitioner Miot-Aristide of failing to monitor her father’s condition adequately after surgery and not responding promptly to his critical state. The lawsuit claims that both healthcare professionals neglected their duties by not recognizing life-threatening symptoms such as low blood pressure and internal bleeding. The plaintiff asserts that these failures led directly to Chod William Stine’s death.
