A Florida resident is seeking justice after a severe fall at a local Walgreens store. Raymond George filed a complaint against Walgreen Co. in the Circuit Court of Pinellas County, Florida, on July 25, 2024.

The incident occurred on May 12, 2023, when George was visiting the Walgreens located at 3700 34th Street North in St. Petersburg during his lunch break. According to the complaint, George slipped and fell in a large puddle of water that had accumulated beneath the refrigerated coolers. The fall resulted in significant injuries to his lower back and other parts of his body.

George alleges that Walgreen Co., through its employees and agents, failed to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition. The complaint states that the company had a duty to ensure the safety of its customers by properly managing and maintaining their store floors. Specifically, it claims that Walgreens should have corrected or warned about any dangerous conditions such as the puddle of water which constituted a transitory foreign substance.
