A Pinellas County resident has filed a lawsuit seeking damages in excess of $50,000 following an alleged dog attack that left her injured. Wendy Martin lodged the complaint against Pamela Siskin in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida, on June 27, 2024.

According to the court documents, Martin was walking her dog near 7253 Key Haven Rd, Seminole, FL on October 26, 2022, when Siskin’s canine suddenly attacked without provocation. The attack caused Martin to be knocked down and sustain bodily injuries. The plaintiff claims that Siskin was aware of her dog’s vicious nature and failed to properly restrain or train it.

The complaint details that Martin suffered significant physical and emotional distress as a result of the incident. She is seeking compensation for pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, permanent scarring, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, medical expenses, loss of earnings and earning capacity, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions. These losses are described as either permanent or continuing.
