Scott Westheimer and Octavius Holliday

Octavius Holliday of the Fourth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office has been named the recipient of the Government Lawyer Section’s Claude Pepper Outstanding Government Lawyer Award.

“Octavius has a long record of distinguished service as a prosecutor, including currently leading the State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit’s Human Rights Division, the first of its kind in Florida, and in using community outreach to reduce crime,” said outgoing President Scott Westheimer, who presented the award at the Annual Florida Bar Convention in Orlando. “In his role, he has had a significant impact on young prosecutors and other young people in the community.”
