Local Resident Sues Florida Corporation Over Negligence Leading To Severe Injuries
A local resident has taken legal action against a Florida corporation, alleging negligence that led to severe personal injuries. Danillia Williams filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on June 4, 2024, against Diego Lozano and Ann Underground, Inc.
The lawsuit stems from an incident on June 18, 2022, when Williams claims she slipped and fell due to hazardous conditions at her residence. According to the complaint, Ann Underground, Inc., owned by Diego Lozano, was responsible for installing telecommunications lines at Williams’ home located at 1383 The 12th Fairway in Wellington, FL. The installation allegedly blocked the drainage system of her home, leading to water accumulation on the floor. This hazardous condition caused Williams to slip and fall within her residence.
Williams asserts that Diego Lozano and Ann Underground, Inc., had a duty to ensure that their work did not create dangerous conditions. The complaint details multiple instances of alleged negligence: failing to install telecommunications lines without obstructing the drain line; neglecting to place warning signs or cones around debris; not taking corrective actions to maintain safe floor conditions; inadequately training employees; and failing to inspect the area properly. “Defendant’s duties are non-delegable,” states the complaint.
