In a recent court filing, Robin Decker and Patricia Decker have lodged a negligence complaint against J.E.M. Partners LLC, operating as Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf. The complaint was filed in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida on May 31, 2024.

The plaintiffs, Robin and Patricia Decker, residents of Martin County, Florida, allege that on February 20, 2024, Mr. Decker suffered severe injuries due to a slip and fall incident at Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf located at 617 N Highway A1A in Jupiter, Florida. According to the complaint, Mr. Decker was an invitee on the premises when he stepped on a loose brick near the putting green area which caused him to fall backward and sustain permanent injuries.

The Deckers’ lawsuit asserts that J.E.M. Partners LLC had a duty to maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition but failed to do so. The complaint details that the defendant either knew or should have known about the hazardous condition through reasonable care or created it through negligent maintenance practices. “Defendant had actual notice based on the presence of employee(s) in the near proximity to the location and at the time and date of Plaintiff’s fall,” states one part of the complaint.
