In a recent court filing, Nicholas Natale has lodged a negligence complaint against Rock Fitness I, LLC. The lawsuit was filed on May 29, 2024, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. Natale accuses Rock Fitness I, LLC of failing to maintain safe equipment at their gym premises located at 2223 Palm Beach Lakes Rd., West Palm Beach.

According to the complaint, on November 13, 2023, Nicholas Natale was using a stability ball while lifting weights at Rock Fitness’s gym when the ball suddenly burst. This incident caused Natale to fall to the ground with weights landing on him, resulting in severe injuries to his upper extremities. The stability ball in question reportedly lacked any weight rating or usage restrictions.

Natale’s legal team argues that Rock Fitness I, LLC had a duty to ensure that its equipment was maintained in a reasonably safe condition and to warn patrons of any potential hazards. The complaint outlines several breaches of this duty by Rock Fitness I, LLC including: failing to maintain the stability ball safely; not warning about the hazardous condition of the stability balls; neglecting to provide anti-burst stability balls for customer use; and other unspecified negligent actions that may be revealed during discovery.
