A former employee has filed a lawsuit accusing Chewy of racial discrimination and retaliation.

Joseph Martinez filed his complaint in federal court against Chewy, a Florida-based online retailer of pet food and other pet-related products.

According to the complaint, Martinez is a Hispanic male with a medium complexion. He says he was employed by Chewy from March 6, 2020, to January 30, 2023, serving as a supervisor on the “Tiger Team Escalation” group.
