Domestic violence and other victims who receive a protective court order could receive a free, wallet-sized or digital “Hope Card” under a bill that is headed to Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The House voted 113-0 on March 5 to approve SB 86 by Senate Democratic Leader Lauren Book of Hollywood. Rep. Traci Koster, R-Tampa, and Rep. Mike Gottlieb, D-Plantation, both lawyers, co-sponsored the companion, HB 45.
