A New York man is suing Celebrity Cruises after he was injured by a champagne cork while on board.

Robert Marchetta filed his lawsuit in federal court against Celebrity Cruises Inc.

According to the complaint, Marchetta was a passenger February 2, 2023, on the Celebrity Edge. He says he was seriously and permanently injured when a champagne cork exploded through its wire cage and struck him in the face and right eye.
