Joan C. Boles

Joan C. Boles’ journey to becoming the new president and CEO of Bay Area Legal Services began in 1988 when she joined the team as a staff attorney, marking the early stages of her long-standing career in legal aid.

Her dedication to BALS’s mission propelled her into a leadership role — she successfully led three distinct legal teams before becoming deputy director in 2000.
