Florida doctors would no longer be subject to no-compete clauses in their employment contracts under a measure that has been filed for upcoming session.

Rep. Joel Rudman, a physician-lawmaker from Navarre, filed HB 11 on October 5. It faces hearings in the Healthcare Regulation Subcommittee, the Civil Justice Subcommittee, and the Health & Human Services Committee.

A Senate companion has not yet been filed.
