FORT LAUDERDALE – A former employee is suing Goldfinger Gentlemen’s Club for unpaid overtime compensation, alleging the club failed to pay minimum wages and improperly distributed tips.

Defendant Famayia Williams filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Goldfinger Gentlemen’s Club, LLC claiming unpaid overtime compensation and other relief under the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Florida Constitution.

According to the lawsuit, Williams is a former employee of the Goldfinger Gentlemen’s Club and claims that while she was an employee, she was paid no hourly wages and received compensation in the form of tips from customers. Williams claims that the defendant improperly distributed income from tips by creating a tip pool that included non-tipped employees, including DJs, security guards, and floor employees. She adds that the defendant failed to provide proper notice that it would pay her based on a tip credit method.
