Navigation Jury duty scams are on the rise across the state
From Tallahassee to Miami, state officials are warning about the latest wave of jury duty scams.
Eleventh Circuit Chief Judge Nushin Sayfie and Miami-Dade Clerk Ad Interim Luis Montaldo joined Mayor Daniella Levine Cava in a jury pool room on Thursday to issue an alert.
Scam callers are threatening would-be victims with jail if they don’t pay a fine for missing jury duty.
