Navigation President Lesser tapped for UM’s Iron Arrow Honor Society
Florida Bar President Gary Lesser, second from the right, was recently “tapped” into the Iron Arrow Honor Society, the “Highest Honor Attained at the University of Miami.” The Iron Arrow Honor Society was founded in 1926, the founding year of UM. From its inception, the sole purpose of Iron Arrow is the “protection, improvement, and general welfare of the university” and it has the endorsement of the Miccosukee Nation. Kelly Malloy, right, an intellectual property associate at Malloy & Malloy, sponsored Lesser, a longtime family friend, for membership. Lesser earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of Bar & Gavel Society and he served as associate editor of the Yearbook of International Law and editor-in-chief of Res Ipsa Loquitur, the law school’s newspaper. Lesser said it is “an honor and a privilege” to be admitted to Iron Arrow. Also pictured is Iron Arrow member and former Bar President Tod Aronovitz (2002-2003), who also earned his J.D. from Miami Law.
