Miriam Soler Ramos, a highly regarded attorney who has served in the public sector for more than two decades, has joined Holland & Knight’s Miami office as a partner in the firm’s real estate and land use practices. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, she was the city attorney for the City of Coral Gables for five years.

As city attorney for the City of Coral Gables, Ms. Ramos served as counsel to the city commission, city officials and city departments, providing legal opinions and interpretations as well as supervising the city attorney’s office and outside counsel. During her tenure, she provided advice in the areas of local government ethics, torts, administrative law, criminal law, historic preservation, property rights, land use and zoning, labor and employment, the First Amendment, Florida Sunshine Law, utilities, civil rights, code enforcement, workers’ compensation, construction law, procurement, preemption, real estate, contracts, trademarks and domains.
